I haven't played my 360 in about a week and a half. I came to it today and noticed that the light on the power supply is red. The console won't turn on and I can't seem to fix this.
Try making sure that all connections are made properly, if it still won't work, try making sure there are no bends in the cord. If you still have a problem call the number to try and fix it. You would have to get the number from someone else other than me.
ok I unplugged the power supply from the console and plugged it into an outlet. It was fine and it turned orange..... As soon as i plug it into the console, it turns red! HELP!

tried spraying it with dust off, didnt do anything....seems like its probably just the power supply....I hope it is...i guess ill try exchanging it for a new one at best buy.. keep the opinions coming..

Dude, in the time that it took you to post all those messages you could have called Xbox by now and gotten a definate answer. I had a problem (the three flashing red lights thing), called Xbox, and had answer within five minutes.Â
Try cleaning the conact points on all cables going into the xbox then let it set overnight, everything unplugged. hook it all up in the morning and if it still doesn't work... cry.
Unplug everything. Plug in your power supply, then your video cables, then your controller. If it is like mine the light remained yellow until I plugged in the controller.... Thus the controller or the USB port is bad. Either way I the computer isn't toast just a peripheral. Basic trouble shooting... Good Luck!
This is real late, but for anyone with the same problem who happens to read this thread, like I did about an hour ago, it's probably the fuse in the power supply plug. I'm pretty sure that's what's happened to mine, and so I'm just going to replace the fuse and see if that works. When I do I might re-post to tell you the results. 4:55pm GMT, 20 June not past midnight the next day... liers.
Ok, your xbox isnt dead. Its that power supply. i have the same problem. you only need to get a new power supply (203w). cause i pluged in a different power supply and it worked fine. i plugged in my friends and its doing the EXACT things that your describing.
