Describe an anime "fan" to me from your perspective...

My wife and I attend A-Kon here and there and we're both interested in Anime, but we're not "OMG, t3h new Anime is out, we must buy it all!"

We also don't run around attempting to "know" Japanese like some fans do (such as at A-kon, or simply on the internet) with people saying, "Wow, that's so "kawaii"." or calling someone a "Baka Neko" or all the other various phrases that a 3rd grade Japanese person doesn't even use.

To be honest Anime "Fans" are one of the most annoying people on the planet. Instead of purchasing Manga they sit in the middle of the aisle at the book store and get all pissy when you ask them to move because your wife actually wants to purchase something. Don't even get me started on people that say Neon Genesis Evangeleon is the "greatest anime of all time" or these newfound Naruto fans.

And yes, we own a 360. :)

^^^ i can handle bullies, what i can't handle are crazy little cosplay freaks that like to make their own buster swords and other nonsense... however, NEON GENESIS EVANGELION is the best anime ever made!!! okay, j/k on that one... it's not bad, but there are much better ones. me, i like vampire hunter d, ranma 1/2, appleseed, ghost in the shell (overplayed,but still great), patlabor, vampire princess miyu, baoh, crying freeman, and countless others... but i gotta ask, what's the point of this thread??? it's kinda like signing up to the i love butter and xbox thread...i_noseworthy

How about Appleseed? Its not from Manga Films but its a pretty good anime movie.

I have to agree, I like anime and all, but god, those are the reasons I try to avoid cons at all costs, oh and the smell..
