Think about this, Street Fighter IV is also available on Arcade machines. And what does ARC do? They eat coins, lots and lots of coins. And in order to let the players feed more coins, they would... you know now.

I swear I can't take this frustration...it's sending my blood pressure soaring. Screw it. I'll play on Very Easy rather than deal with this bullcrap.

there you go... that's what I was gonna say... SF games have always been challenging, most Street Fighter veterans could go through the campaign on the regular difficulty but you need to start somewhere since you've never played much street fighter before. Don't be ashamed to start at the lowest level.

Exactly, that's what single player or 1v1 game does, you've only got yourself to blame when other people could beat it on hard while you are stuck on medium. That's why fighting games are really soul crushing cause you have noone to blame but yourself. :P

But we've all got to start some where right?

I don't like playing Easy..I always like playing Normal/Medium. Usually, the medium difficulty isn't this difficult...

In comparison to the people playing online now a day :), medium is relatively easy. yeah it has a major learning curve, but if you kept trying you might get somewhere in this game. However if it frustrates you, just return it, specific genres are not supposed to appeal to the mass, and sadly fighting game is one of the more niche genre

Practice makes perfect, haha. I remember how angry I got because I tried beating Seth for about 45 minutes. Start out with Ken or Ryu, they'll teach you the basic fighting system, and they're easy to master.

I've played plenty of other fighters such as DBZ Budokai, Super Smash Bros., Soul Calibur, Tekken and Mortal Kombat and none of them are as frustrating and difficult on Normal difficulty as Street Fighter is.

Street Fighter was always pointed towards the vets of fighting games more. Plus I think they make it difficult for the purpose of players not bashing it for being too easy. They just wanted to make something that would make you feel accomplished when you beat it, not for being easy but for skill.

Oh...what I thought was the final stage was two stages previous to the final stage..well I finally beat Rufus with Ryu, lost to Sagat, switched to E. Honda and beat El Fuerte and now I'm against Seth AKA Silver Surfer with a Yin Yang symbol for a stomach.

Other than Mortal Kombat (which I never played so can't comment on it) the games you listed out got really easy AI (IMO), pretty much button mash could get you through medium, and a blocking/dodge here and there = you finished hard. But in SF4... Capcom really made it hardcore :P P.S. I personally found 3-d fighters more accessible than pure 2-d ones, try Street Fighter 2 HD remix, that's insane as well lol

Just practice, I thought it was really hard as well, but after I got really good with one character I was able to beat it on the hardest difficulty without continues.

I dont think it matters how good you are at Street Fighter, Seth is still harder than he should be, never played anything as ridiculous as the boss on this game.

What I also did was change the rounds to only one round per battle in Arcade. That makes it a lot quicker and much less of a pain since I don't have to worry about winning one round but losing the other two and losing the battle.

Just choose a character and practice all their specials and combos. It might take a while but eventually you should get better.

TC try picking Sagat. I was having the same exact trouble you were until I switched to a stronger character. Seth is still a POS no matter who you fight him with but I didn't have much trouble with the rest of Arcade Mode with Sagat except for maybe Abel, who for some reason always seems stronger than everybody else It's not easy though, I sucked bad at the game and struggled with the game a lot. I am wondering if the difficulty was tuned for SF vets. This was my first SF game and I pretty much got my ass handed to me, and a lot of times the normal difficulty AI on stuff like the Survival Mode handed it to me worse than I got it handed to me online. I kept at it though and was able to squeeze 400 achievement points out of the game and in the end, I had fun.

I prefer playing one round matches on Arcade mode in fighting games because I can get through the mode more quickly and easily. If I'm playing VS. matches, I like having 2 rounds to make the match longer and more interesting but having more than one round in Arcade just serves to waste time.

Having more than one round set just makes the match draw out too long and it makes it way more of a hassle to win.

Ugh...I spent over 2 hours trying to beat Arcade mode on Medium, and some guy on YouTube beat Hardest in 15 minutes :|

:(

Also, I don't think I'll unlock Gouken because I can't fulfill all the requirements.
