I looked at the purchase price and I was immediately curious. I know a lot of people are interested in the game. Let me know what you think.

If you don't own the game then go buy it when it comes out. It is the only reason I kept my Ps2.

My Uncle works for the Xbox's PR firm, Alan Taylor. He is currently working on Guitar Hero 2 and Halo3.

From what I gather,  It is more than worth it as the game itself has new tracks, hd, several songs through live the first week and lots more. Also, Microsoft itself might make a wireless version of the controller later (yes, the current is wired). They fear releasing the controllers information could cause creation of third-party controllers that screw up the system ( a la gamecube)

yeah, but right now only a wired one. realeases April 1st. There will be an event with some of the best GH players, and the lead guitarist from KISS might show up. There was originally also going to be that 8 ear old from Youtube, and everything was signed with the parent, ESRB and stuff, but Activision bought up Red Octane and stopped that motion.

so lets figure this out so we can stop crying, to play a video game you need a controller right? how much do 360 controllers cost? like 39 USD? plus 60 USD for the game, adds to 100 USD, so the 90 for guitar hero is just about right

I didn't have a PS2, so of course its worth it for me. And for people who have already played and owned it, its probably not as worth it until they really crank out the downloads

It just doesn't make sense to me... the guitar controller only has 5 buttons on the fretboard and I can't play the game at all... but my real guitar has 126 frets on the fretboard, and I can play many of the songs in the games...

I just don't get it. :|

That's very strange since the creator of Guitar Hero said he was attempting to give everyone "the pleasure of making music" since playing real musical instruments was very difficult. If the advent of the video game had proceeded the advent of the musical instrument, I have a feeling he'd be saying the same thing with his invention of the real-life guitar.

It's worth it if you don't have Guitar Hero/2 for the PS2.
