Recently, MS announced the new black X360 with HDMI and 120GB for 80$ more then the regular premium 360. For those needing the 120GB but already have one have to pay upwards to 200$ when it becomes available.

I personally dont care...i dont have any time to play my 360 anyway so its not really a big deal for me. I might get the 120gb hd (if it actually exists) but im not going to waste my money on something that will be about the same as what i already have...its just pointlesss_bowers_15

Sorry misunderstood the topic title there, thought you meant Microsoft were copying Sony by having a bigger hard-drive and HDMI.

No I don't really think they're ripping people off. It would have been much more of a rip off if when they originally released they console they forced you to buy a marked up version with 120GB hard-drive and HD-TV player. 90% of players don't NEED a 120GB hard-drive. Infact nobody needs that much memory unless you have a phobia of deleting things like demos and videos from your hard-drive. I'll buy the 120GB when it is released seperatley (Microsoft are not forcing you to buy a whole new console just to get the hard-drive.) not because I need it but because I find it more convinient. Nobody NEEDS these things they are simply luxury options Microsoft are giving it's users. 90% of people don't have HD-TV that run at native 1080p. Why make 90% of the people pay extra for a luxury only 10% of it's desire. If you ask me it's Sony who has been ripping people off by forcing them to buy Sony's blu-ray along with the console and in the case of Europe completley denying people the more economic cheaper option.

C'mon, you HAD to know this was coming.  It's called, "business sense" because MS wants to compete with PS3.  Do I feel cheated?  No.  Because I've had my 360 for over a year now and I wouldn't give that up just to get a new, black 360 in a few months for more.  Absolutely not.  Will I spend the $200?  No, because that's going towards my HDTV/PS3 fund.  I plan to have both, and the PS3 has the built-in HDMI and blu-ray player, I'm just waiting for a price drop.  Why would I want to spend more on my 360?  I'm opting for the best of both worlds.  Quit crying about feeling cheated.  You should have waited. cgoliver
