Thank you! Finally someone that thinks the same way I do.
Personally, I don't care what they call it and I don't care when it comes out. I'm having a ton of fun with my 360.

by the time the new one comes out the economy is either gonna be back to normal or the whole world is gonna be f***ed back to the stone age ... I'm guessing WW3 hehe...so your're either gonna afford it or be dead....hopefully we'll all die 'cause I'm bored of this s**t  .... Ah, yeah, I don't give a damn what the next one's gonna be called...If it's good, I'll buy it...'till then I too am enjoying my 360...cheers, I'm going back to N Gaiden 2...
And I'm more curious what Nintendo's gonna call their new one...the DooDoo ? ... The Nintendo PeePee ? ....
XBOX 720, i'm rly thinking of the new power of that machine sometimes:p CaN'T wait, but let not make ourselfs crazy and lets just wait for prototype, just casue 2, bioschock 2, N3 2, Dead rising 2, ...
Yeaa I agree . Back in the day a 5 year console cycle was normal and probably necessary to move the consumer to new products. But today the consoles have a longer life than 5 years . And according to Sony " their ps3 hasn't been used to it's full cell technology " yawn blah blah .But I think the 360 could go for another 5 . Cause I'm not ready for a new console yet .I'm having to much fun with the 360 !
***i could be lying dont quote me on this*** but i thought i read something that microsoft is not continuing the xbox after the xbox 360 DragonApocthey may not have the xbox title anymore but they are gonna make annother
the only way i can see it being called the 720 is if they want to go with the online streaming of movies at 720p with their already existing netflix. But that wouldnt interest me at all. I do think that there is going to be a new console by 2011, announced by 2010, but when it releases it will be without a media drive at all. All media will be downloaded via their vast and capable networks that they have for XBLive already, or just stored server side and streamed on demand, whichever you prefer. Incorporating the Netflix we can hope to see 1080p streams in the near future, with a codec compression to allow for some of these DL caps we have been seeing with many ISP's. It would be nice to pay a 2.99 fee for 24 hour rental or 19.99 to purchase it entirely. Same would go for the games themselves. you can download them for 49.99 and install them on your hard drive like a computer, but instead of a 120gb hard drive, we would be looking at more like a 1 terabyte + of solid state memory, which is much faster than a rotating disk, also requires much less energy, and is impossible to fail unless you dunk it under water while its running, or drop it off a 20 foot roof onto solid cement... for those of you who dont know what SSD is, think of your ipod or zune... and its actually old technology thats just finally catching up with the industry. What do you think old nintendo and sega games were stored on? Anyways, Blu-Ray is nice right now, but its not the future, its whats now. The future will be streaming media, instant access, and solid state storage devices. This will make the powersupply, tiny, and the box that encases the whole thing smaller as well and cooler, and no moving parts other than a fan, which i would want to be liquid cooled for pure silence and effectiveness anyways. Wireless built in.... i would like to see the option of 8 wirless controllers, but with dual TV (hdmi) outs, allowing for 8 players on 2 TV's... As for PS4? i dont think they even have the capitol to start making one if they tried. Not to mention PS1 was first with the CD games... PS2 with DVD games and now PS3 with BRD games... what do they want to do next? games on a disk are on their way out if you ask me. The future is all online, instant and cheaper (since it doesnt require production of physical products i.e. disks, cases, leaflets/manuals) and fully backed up serverside with your account registered with whatever you have purchased. So you lose your data, or you need to reformat? no problem, you can redownload onto you device because your Live account knows what licenses you own anyways (think iTunes). So with all that, what do you think it should be called if it were to be made like that? XBOX OL (online)? XBOX HD (highdef?)jsnod25the worlds most longest post! agree
exactly they should probally fix xbox 360 before they start the new oneDon't care what it will be called only care whether or not it will be built well from the start.
