I have a launch model, manufactured in Oct 05. It's still working fine. Only problems I've had are random freezes (~10 times), random red lights (~4 times), and a checkerboard graphical glitch over all images (~2 times). Post your experience if you've got an oldie but goodie.
Mine's still working perfectly. Few freezes due to a bad copy of NFS MW. I've had 1 ring of death expirience, due to electrical problems during a storm.
I have a day one launch console, and I have never had any of the "ring of death" encounters, although I've had a few freezes when I'm in the middle of games changing my profile and speeding through the dashboard options.
I have a 360 that has frozen a couple times and ring of death once. It has a manufacture date of November 05. Does Microsoft repair for free if manufacturing date is in 2005?
me....I have had over 3 red ring of death thing....amazingly, my console still works. Funny, I didn't go rushing out to my computer to talk about it here, and I didn't call Microsoft. I stopped playing it for a day, unpluged the cables, pluged them back and wham. It works. Last time i had the lights was 2 months ago.
