the extra 100 gigs you get with the elite is worth it alone, whether you use it or not (it's there)
and the hdmi offers more connectibility, you'll want to use this connection sooner or later.
between the two, the elite is the better purchase...but i wouldn't be surprised if another system is in the making and will be avail. soon to add to the equation? :?
good luck either way and congrats...the 360 rocks!
only get elite if you are going to download A LOT, store movies, etc. etc.
get premium if you will play normally and download things once in a while
I chose the Elite, for three reasons.
1) it is the flagship model of the 360, meaning that will be worth more on the used market, should I decide to sell.
2) I like to DL the rentable HD movies from marketplace and some of those are upwards of 5 gigs, by themselves.
3) I havent heard much about the rrod on the Elites, sure it happens but not nearly as much.
I'm pretty sure that the elite was/is using (I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong there)the louder DVD drives of old which were replaced by the BenQ drives in the premium models months ago. It may have changed, but that alone would keep me from recommending the EliteYagami-Iori
I dont think there is proof either way, unless MS posts something, but given the nature of the product and the flow of features......the elite had the cooler heatsink first, the hdmi port first.....so that leads me to believe that the newer drives would be in the elite first, then the prem.
