I don't really like to Pre-order games. I'd rather pick up a copy in-stores, plus you also get it on its official release date, you don't need to wait for it. Also, if it's a game I am greatly anticipating I also would like to look at the copy; so I get a really nice one too, but that's me.
However, as others have already mentioned, sometimes they have some nice Pre-order Bonuses like the one they have for Eternal Sonata...I have ordered a few other games there before and so far, I received all the pre-order Bonuses with my Order.
I preorder the games that I want thhat I know are going to be HUGE titles that will probably be hard to find. And as someone else stated its a nice kind of payment plan too. Usually by the time the game comes out I dont have muuch left to pay on it cuz I go and add money whenever I get a chance.
No, I never pre-order a game and never have trouble finding one either. The thing with pre-ordering is, you're then forced to buy it from that store. I rather look around to see if I can save 5 or 10 bucks on a game from buying it at another store.
I guess I pre-order quite a number of games a year. I buy all of my games online so I never really thought of it as pre-ordering - just plain ol' ordering. I've got Bioshock and GTA IV ordered and will add Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed when ship dates and/or edition information is released. I'll probably order Two Worlds as well, but we'll see.
