Prepaid Card problem

I just bought a 12 month prepaid subscription card & accidently scratched to hard & ruined a few of the numbers/letter. I called microsoft thinking I could give them the serial number & most of the code I could read & they would be able to give me the code. Bungie did that with damaged WoW subscription cards.

I was told to eiether scan the card & email it or send the card to somewhere in America (Im from Australia) so they could "investigate". Ontop of that, they told me not to guess the few damaged digits incase I guessed another cards code.

Anyone ever had this problem?

I had that happen with a lottery ticket once, and I swear it was a winner too! I just couldn't prove it. :(

Anyway, in all seriousness, I'd say you could TRY giving Microsoft a call. I kinda doubt they'll be able/willing to help you out in this particular circumstance, but who knows? It's worth a shot.
