I doubt you will see a price drop this year. Halo 3 is a gonna be a HUGE system seller and I think Microsoft might bundle it to move even more consoles.
My guess, only a guess mind you is holiday 2007, that way it will be price competitive with the Wii and honestly it looks like Sony will have to drop there price to move systems too. Makes perfect sense in my thinking anyway.
I highly doubt Microsoft will wait till holiday 2008 before they drop the price, that's crazy that's almost 2009. I think Microsoft will drop the 360's price in early 2008 to maybe spring of 2008. I think you'll see the bundles definately happen this holiday followed by a price cut....they have to keep the PS3 and Wii at bay and get more people with a console in home to help sell there IPTV, movies strategy.
No need for a price drop, one word, eBay. Shopping on there for consoles is like having a price drop. I got my Premium 360 with Quick Charge kit and VGA Cables, all for $330, when at retail it would be over $500.
