With space becoming a problem (see PGR4 and GTA4) 360's with HDD might just be required for alot of games. Sure there is nothing wrong with multiple disk games but when it comes to basketball, football, racing and other sports games you cant swap disk. Plus it might not work with sandbox games either.By getting rid of the core game devs can know that every 360 console being sold will have a HDD and theymight be susceptibleto makingmore games requiring aHDD. With cores out there games that require a HDD can only besold to a certain percentage of 360 owners. Like if 85-90% 360 owners had a pro/elite that could cut sells by one-tenth. I know people upgrade later but to avoid this all together just put the core on the bench for the rest of this console race. By the way who the **** buysa core anyways.

I do think getting rid of the core would be a great move and then make harddrives really cheap so everybody who bought a core would be able to get one for less

It would be the best thing to do. Like Ihave a premium and it got the ring of the death so I just sent it in. I bought a core system cuz I thought it would suffice mygaming needs, because I swapped the HDD. Then a few days later it wouldn't turn on after I was done playing Gears of War. I then returned....so now I'm waiting on getting an Elite hopefully with the price drop in tact.:)

You should wait to get a system with the new chip inside it that should stop the three rings of death. I read an article a couple days ago about how the company that makes the chips for the 360 is working on a new one that is half the size of the smaller one they came out with awhile ago. They think it will stop the 3 rings all together.

PGR4 space limitation is not true.
