I hope not, honestly, if the core/arcade dips below $200, it means a new xbox is coming within the year and our x360s will be outdated, that's what happened last time, major price cut for the xbox, the next week, literally, x360 was announced :?
no one knows for sure except microsoft...BUT E3 is just a few weeks away and if they were going to annouce a price drop that would be the time to do. With sales slowing up I think they will drop down to Wii prices for the arcard and put the pro at 299 but who knows what will really happen.
I bet there will be a price cut around the time of the holiday season. There has been too much talk about the cut for one to not happen this year. Plus PS3 sales are going up so Xbox will probably try to balance that out with a lower price.

There are many reasons for a price drop. If they plan to drop it, E3 would be the time to do so. I think they would drop 50 off both the pro and elite, then drop the arcade to the wii price point. Don't get your hopes up though. If Sony stays put, I'm sure MS won't budge.
