I am considering buying a 360 soon to finish off my next gen system collection, I was wondering if there was any big differences between the Pro and the Elite besides the expanded HD compacity. I have most of my media on my PS3 so I would be using the 360 solely for gaming. I am leaning towards the Pro, but if the Elite has a lessened failure rate or if it is still the only one with HDMI I would love to know. Also do they still have the extended warranty against the RRoD, I know how to take care of my systems and would not think it would be a problem but you never know.

Thanks for any suggestions you guys can give me, I'm really excited about adding a 360 to my collection!

The only differences are color and HDD size.

I'd get an Elite for the extra HDD space. As soon as the new dashboard comes out I will be installing all my games to cut down on load times and the excessive noise of the DVD drive.

If the extra $100 doesn't matter, get the elite. Only diff aside from hard drive, elite includes the hdmi cable and has the black finish, which i think looks better. You'll be surprised how much content is on live as well, that isn't on PSN. I only have about 60gb left on my 360 HD, and 5gb of 60gb left on my PS3 and needing to upgrade that to a bigger drive. I originally thought 60gb for the PS3 was a lot of space, then a lot of the games started to have that required installl. I hate that.

the only difference is that the elite has a bigger hard drive and a hd cable is supplied. all 360 models support full hd.

if you are in the uk you can get some good bundle deals. £190 pro with fallout 3 and fable 2. or £250 elite with fallout 3 and fable 2. if you are in the uk then check out this

It's got a bigger HDD as people already said BUT the biggest change is that it's black and it looks so much better for it IMO (but dam MS for not supporting all black perhiberals to match it).

if you're just going to use it for game saves then get the pro. If you can, you might even be able to find a 20GB one for cheap
