problem with AV cable

ive recently got a problem with the AV cable the one with the coloured leads. wen i turn my xbox on there is sound but no visual at all. do i need a new 1 of these cables or hd av cable as i have a hdtv

It's odd that your av cable would just break. Maybe you have something wrong with your xbox? A friend of mine had the same problem...sound but no video.

Anyway, you might as well try using an hdmi cable as they are super cheap. Grab one from a dollar store or local computer store for $10 and try that. If that doesn't work, I guess something inside your xbox has 'melted'
