I was wondering whether this TV stand is safe to put my 360 in. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sauder-TV-VCR-Cart-Black/11016195The reason I ask is I hear you need to be careful in where you put the system so it doesn't overheat.

I have a TV stand that will be perfect for your new XBOX 360. Just send the console...

Just kidding ok.

Yes, it looks good to me. Just do not let the XBOX go too further in the shelf so it has room for ventilation...

well this is airing on the side of caution for sure ... dude dont worry any tv stand will support the weight of a 360 the console isnt really that heavy. Infact the tv youre using is probably heavier. Less of course you get a table made of matchsticks ... then you need to worry

I was referring to overheating/ventilation, not the weight limit. lol :P

I would think it wouldn't be very good for ventilation, you want to have about 2 feet clear from the back of the unit.

It is important the console "has enough room to breathe", meaning there isnt any wall that blocks the airflow.

Yeah something that TV stand doesn't look like it offers much of...personally I wouldn't chance it...

Edit: This would probably be a more safe bet, unless you need the wheels.

I recommend to have a TV stand with a hole at the back. That stand looks pretty decent and I'm not sure if you can punch a whole at the back for your wires and more ventilation. Maybe it's just the picture, but you should see if you can punch a hole at the back or maybe you don't even have to install the back side of that TV stand.

There is a hole for the wires already. I just ordered this TV Stand. Talk about "breathing" room. :P http://www.walmart.com/ip/Three-Tier-TV-Stand-Black-Finish/10752191#ShortReviewTitleBar

Yeah, the first stand looked decent but that one is much better.

Lay it flat, then put a couple game cases underneath it, hell even VHS tapes work great. And elevate the Xbox 360 off its rubber feet and keep the bottom grates open so air can flow better. then you should be good.

you will be fine, unless the room it will be sitting in is always abnormally hot, and assuming its a newer model.

- If it's an Xbox Slim, don't worry about RRoD. Even when it overheats, it fixes itself (like a robot xD)- Buy an Intercooler TS if you don't have a Slim. - Install games to your HDD weither you have a Slim or not. There's faster load times, prevents scratching your game while you play, plays a scratched disk, quieter system.

Looks like a weak TV set. I wouldn't trust my large sized HDTV on it. Depends on how big your HDTV is.
