I'm trying to convince a friend to buy a xbox360 over the PS3. The only reason why he wants a PS3 is because he plays Madden on the PS2 and wants the controller to be the same. I've tried to google this and came up with people sticking their PS3 buttons into a xbox360 controller (I don't get why but whatever) but does anyone know of a way to get the PS3 or PS2 controller to hook up to the xbox360?

I seriously doubt that. There's a photo floating around out there that looks like some sort of USB adapter with a PS2 controller port on one end, hooked up to a 360. I don't know if it's real or not though. I wouldn't count on it. EDIT: Here it is. Keyboard and mouse too. See the port in the middle of that device?

The PS3 controller is different from the PS2 one isn't it?

I think the PS3 controller is too light, it's tiny, and the triggers feel really cheap and flimsy.

Well, I don't know if it actually works or if it's official. That could have been some adapter for the PC and stuck in a 360 for rumor's sake. Try to find out though.

While you did ask about there possibly being an adapter to play a PS3 controller on the 360, your opening statement of trying to convice someone to buy a 360 over a PS3 will lead people to think different of this thread. As such, to be safe also, all threads that involve the talk of multiple systems like the PS3 and 360 should be relegated to System Wars.
