Do you like video games? It plays them. Some wont be on PS4. That is the reason to get one. I own both for this reason.
@wwe_xbox360: It all depends what kind of you like. Each consoles has different games. Me I personally love the achievement system, that why I kept with microsoft. I do have a ps4 but hardly ever play it. Just look between ps4 games asd xbox one games and see which ones you like the best.
If you have a PS4, I personally don't think an Xbox One is worth it until the holiday season.
The best games this gen are multiplat, and the X1 only has a couple of good exclusives (Forza Horizon 2, Halo MCC, and maybe Sunset Overdrive - maybe).
If you wait until the holidays, you'll find awesome deals on the console and it's around the time we'll start to see MS's heavy hitters. Halo 5, Scalebound, Rare game (hopefully), and others all come out later.
If you're really jumping to buy a new console right now, the WiiU or even the 3DS would be a better compliment.

That is totally subjective...

Of course it is. This whole topic is based around giving subjective advice. He can choose whether or not to listen.
I only have an X1. If I were to buy another console this year, it'd probably be a WiiU. I'd like a PS4 sometime down the road, but the two consoles are too similar right now to justify owning both.
Of course, if money isn't an issue, buy all the consoles your heart desires.
its done i wanted and xbox one and i got it thanks guys for the help i dont like Nintendo guy doesnt cant play em i traded in my 3dxl for my xbox one

Ok, the TC has bought an Xbox One already. Just a friendly reminder to keep this thread civil and to not bash any other systems or I'll have to lock it. Thank you.
I got both. Best of both worlds. I love my Uncharted and Gran turismo but I also love my Forza and Gears

Best of both worlds indeed, ;]. It's a shame some people take this console war too seriously and think their piece of plastic is better than the other. They miss out on great exclusives on either side and their loyalty gets them nothing in return. Ahh well more games for me to play.

I agree with it as well, I just recently started dusting off my PS4. My 360 and PS3 have been getting more action over the last few months. The only reason I don't have the XB1 yet is that my favorite exclusives haven't come out yet.
By all means get an Xbox one and also keep your PS4. This could be another long videogame generation. Since the worldwide economy now dictates the length of a gaming generation. If the world economy did not die in 2008. The PS4 and Xbox one would have launched sooner. 5 years used to be the length of a gaming era. But with videogames becoming more expensive to create and more expensive. If the worldwide economy is not good then videogame generations will drag on for much longer. The Xbox 360 is nearing 10 years on the market. The original Xbox lasted only 4 years. (other reasons besides the economy played in it's early demise)
So yep get an Xbox one and keep the PS4. You will be set regardless of how long the 8th Generation of Games lasts. You will be able to enjoy Xbox one games. It is always best to have both consoles. Plus the Xbox one is getting a lot of games in 2015/2016
Can't see owning an xbox making that boredom any better. But then again I've generally enjoyed sony's first party support over the last 3 generations of their consoles far more then my friends who've owned xbox's can say of their xbox's.
