Hey do you think the 360 console would be able to handle the weight of the Samsung SM2032MW on top of it - if i put it on would it affect the running of the console or anything? The TV weighs about 5 kilos and ive been looking at the console and it seems to be OK but im not too willing to take the risk. Have any of you got your set up with your console with your screen on top. Helpful comments would be appreciated.

I wouldnt risk it, it might put pressure on certian parts of the xbox and cause things to mess up.

Man, don't take the chance. The system is fragile enough with RROD. If anything you should isolate the system to prevent any possible damage being caused by poor ventilation.

LMFAO!!!

Everything about this reply cracked me the hell up, from the dozens of 'No"s and "Don't do it"s as you scroll down to this simple response with Sonic giving his classic a-ok grin. Classic, I wanna put this whole thread up to bdhoff's reply in my signature. That, people, is comedy.

Okay, chill. I thought his reply was smart too, but it's nothing to flip over lover boy. Only joking.

Anyways, I don't think putting something on the 360 would harm it if it wasn't that heavy. People think the 360 is very, very fragile, but it's not. Give it a go, if you feel like something isn't work correctly or just get a bad feeling, take it off.

Haha, my thoughts exactly, to the first part at least. The second part kind of a given, that the TC needs to have someone spell out.

NOOOOOOOOOO DON"T DO IT. The 360 has enough problems without you setting a tv on it.

I wouldn't put a piece of paper on my console.pinionxl

I use to put the game case, of the video game I'm playing on top of the 360, but I no longer do it. I just dont want anything on it, or near it's sides. I give it plenty of room to breathe, no pressure or weight on it. If I wanted to, I could press down hard on the 360 and pretty much break the top part of the Xbox 360 (when layed horizontal) as anyone else could. So, I dont think the weight of that TV or whatever monitor over a period of time will do any good for it. Besides, there could be magnetic interference between the 360 and TV. I use to put a DVD player on top of my TV, and now the DVD doesnt read or play discs. 1/4 of my television screen is gone and is blurred out. Luckily it's my old stereo TV that I dont care about, I'm using an HDTV now. Just dont do it. Why put it there, when you can put it somewhere else?
