it appears that one of my fans is not working. when placing my hands at the back, i can only feel air coming out from the right side... is that the way the fans are supposed to work? or should i feel air coming out the entire ventilation holes at the back?

opinions pls...

I wouldn't waist your money on any third party cooling devices. I'm 100% positive that the 2x 80mm rear fans cool our 360's just fine. Just remember do not keep your 360 on carpet the carpet tends to insolate heat. I keep mine a glass shelf on my TV stand where it get's plenty of room to breath.

if a fan dies, you will get a red light instead of a green light.. so it must be fine. just keep it off the carpet.

They're not 80mm fans, but you're dead on in saying that third party cooling contraptions are a total waste of money. With the bout of overheating Xbox 360s, it's no wonder accessory companies made cooling add-ons. However, these things aren't going to such air out of the system any faster than the fans already in the system. They're just going to push it away from the unit faster, which isn't very helpful.
