Question about changing a gamertag...

...my friend wants to change his gamertag because he spelt it wrong. I heard some people in a gta game once saying that if you have a bunch of people file a complaint about your gamertag that they will force you to choose a new one. Is this true, because my friend can't afford to buy ms points right now... he really isn't too bright.

From what I can tell this only works if the gamertag could actually be considered offensive. If lots of people complain about it then it will get reviewed. A mispelling is unlikely to be removed. Your friend should wait until they can afford some points.

Just pay the frakin' money. Sheesh, if you're paying membership as a gold member or pay over $60 for a game, 800 points is nothing for changing a gamertag name.
