I love gears online but i hate the fact when i play ranked my teammates leave and I have to play a 3 on 4. Are they gonna make it so people can join late games, because that is the most annoying part of the game in my opinniong and most frustrating as well.

i would like to see a party system as well. also the dropout thing really is a problem. it happens to me alot and piss's me off, especially when they are like "host is killing us" - Quit. and then everyone else on the team quits cause the one guy quit. it might help if they have a actual score system that people care about. It would be cool if it was a little like CoD4 where it tells you after each games your stats and stuff. or a rank system like in halo. i think that would make the experience alot better and make people quit less, because their 'stats and score' is going down, and it shows them right there.
Yeah I am defenityly sure they announced a party system, but I just hope its not like halo match making. I really didn't like it compared to Call of Duty 4's match making system. It was slower, more connection problems for me since I use a router and espacially the quitting issue. The match making system was good, but not as good as Call of Duty 4's match making system.
Answering your question about people leaving: When People leave in Gears 2 they will be penalized, but it has not been confirmed what will happen and bots are used for social type matches. Rod Ferguson senior producer or whatever said this in a interview. He said 1 person leaving wont matter in this game since it will be 4 on 5.

One person leaving in a 5v5 match can still make a great impact on the team. One person leaving means that it will be 4v5 and then the person on the handicapped team will always be double teamed and lose. Its still unfair and Ihope they do something about it. Bots, I don't know if thats a good idea, but some bots are actually really good. I just don't think they would be good in ranked matches since I like playing competitivly against other human players to test my real skill.
if they do decide to replace quitters with bots they should make them as smart as the vegas 2 terrorist bots cuz those f*ckers got some brains for just being A.I.
the ideal situation would be to take halo's ability to select a new host when the host quits and the call of duty abilty to jump in and out of matches.
i get so tired of host quitting match constantly on call of duty. if someone could implement these items into one game that would be an awesome online mechanic. would ensure the most even teams and it would ensure that matches could always be finished.
