I recently bought a HDTV and I gotta say im very happy with it and it makes my 360 games look amazing! however I can also plug in my ps2 scart cable and I do like playing the occasional game of ff12 but my question is can this in anyway harm the display? or am I just worrying about nothing?

No, it will not hurt your HDTV at all. If it did, they wouldn't give you the option to run non-HD content. Enjoy your HDTV!
