Funny that is were I live. Yes you can buy M rated games. You just need some kind of picture ID. You can get one for about $20 at the Secretary of the state.

Do you live in Michigan? I thought not. In Michigan there is this place they call the Secretary of the state and that is were we go to get new tags for our cars and renew our licenses and get state IDs.
I hate not being allowed 2 buy M rated games by myself i wish they had like some license system for gameshops where if a parent or guardion agrees that you can buy M rated games then you can buy em by urslef or sumthing like that cuz notes from parents dont work (ive tried it)

I don't believe this. If this was true you would be under 10 years old and you are supposed to be at least 13 to have an account on here as far as I know.

A place called the secretary of state?! How can a secretary be a place?
Michigan does have a secretary of state (as do all states) who may technically be in charge of everything from voting results approval and drivers licenses. However, that's a formality and there's no PLACE called the secretary of state, in Michigan or anywhere else.

Yes there is. I know what a secretary of the state is. The place that I or anyone in michigan goes to to get an ID or renew the plates on there car is also called the secretary of the state. It is like a DMV, but called the secretary of the state. I know what it is called as I have had to deal with them for 5 years now to get cars in my name and renew tags and my license.
I don't know why that is what they call it, but it is. If you don't live here and don't know how can you say there is not a place called the secretary of the state?
OK well thanks for being polite with me. I looked it up on Wikipedia and apparently in Michigan the Sec of State handles vehicle registration. I really doubt they call the building where you get your license "The Secretary of State" -- maybe it's the OFFICE of the Sec of state? But anyway you learn someting new every day.

I live in Canada, and I just bought a copy of Gears of War from Best Buy, no questions asked, (I'm 14). I dunno if all Best Buys do this but that's my experience.
