So does MS only include this warranty for the systems that Red Ring? what if something else fails and it doesnt have to do with red ring? Will they fix it then?

other then the Red Ring has there been any other problems?

Is the 299.99   60gb pro system  have major problems with RR or has microsoft done a good job of cleaning up this problem? I want a next gen system and this one is in my price range and i want to make sure I have a good experience with it and not to have to send it in every other 4 months.

Thanks for your help guys :)

The 3 year warranty is only for the red rings, and if something else is wrong with the system and you didn't buy an extended warranty then you have to pay to get it fixed. With the new systems they have taken precautions to lesson the chance of getting the red ring, but it doesn't mean it won't happen. I personally think it is a good idea to get one of the systems with the bigger hard drives so you can install games to it. Both the pro and the elite would be your best bet.

well you do have to pay to get it fixed but i know for a fact once it gets to the repair centre they fix it regardless of warranty if your past the year and get a different fault. the check to see if its in warranty is with the call centre. so if u ever get a fault after a year that needs fixing phone up or do it online and say you got RROD when you turn it on some times. they will ask about your power pack say the light is green and they will arrange for it to get collected. ive done this myself and know a few mates who have, one was a lass who phoned up when she got E74, out of warranty so they said they would charge her so she put the phone down in the end saying she cudnt pay. then the next day after i spoke to her she phoned back up saying she now got rrod and they sent out to pick it up and fixed it. as they dont leave notes on the system unless an actual repair is needed or something gets done or altered on your account. so rememeber if anything happens outside the 1 year try it on as it does work. when they are fixing it they run tests on the whole kit and all faults are repaired even if they aint RROD. they will send a letter out explaining whats been repaired and replaced.
