Is there a way to transfer memory files from your old XBOX games on the old XBOX that are compatible with the 360, over to the 360? I got a "transfer kit" that was supposed to, but it turns out that it didn't actually transfer files, it was only for saving them to a computer and backing therm up. Also, it was programmed to piss me off tremendously, so I feel I got my money's worth.

I think there is a kit that does this.  It comes with something that you snap your 360's hdd onto.  It then also comes with a wire for plugging an old Xbox memory card into.  So, you transfer the game saves to your PC and then onto the 360's hdd.

The same makers of the "Transfer Kit", Datel, make a device called the SATA that sits between the 360 hard drive and the unit and allows file system access from your PC. Here's the link to the process:

That's what the one I have is supposed to do, but it doesn't work. And, yes, I read the instructions. I did everything correctly and could never get the damn thing to work. It might just be my particular unit, though, or maybe it was made by a third-rate manufacturer.
