I already have a Netflix account so will I not get the 100 points for activating Netflix on my console since I already have it?
Or can I just use my Netflix on the console and it will count that as "registering" so I can obtain the 100msp. Thanks!

xbox live rewards doesnt reward you for any pervious transcations before you signed up. Thus that whole netflix thing wouldn't be rewarded. XBLR sucks hard right now, pretty much only use it for surveys

Dammit. That's pretty cool. Don't reward me for being a 6 year member or anything. No big deal, I guess. There should be milestone rewards too, like hitting a certain year in XBL. Or hitting a certain gamescore (therefore showing you have a ton of games). XBLR is so pointless, but it honestly is helping me buy the Sonic Adventure game for only half price, so I'm still somewhat happy.

Yeah, I felt the same way. I've been paying for a subscription for 5 years, and all I get is a big shiny number 5 on my gamer profile. Rewards programs really should reward your long time customers, not just the new people.

This is why there is no incentive for people who don't have an Xbox already. They already roped us in to the service, why cater to us anymore? "You pay for what you get. You want free stuff? Hell nawh, you don't need free stuff." >:O Microsoft is slowly but surely making me feel less crucial to their business. Hardly any exclusives, no incentives, RAISING XBL's price. Wtf is all of this crap?

You mean that WASN'T an incentive?!

It isn't all that surprising, really. This IS MS we're talking about here. They rarely even give you a new console to replace your RROD'd one.

That's the way it is with businesses. They want to increase their client base and ignore those they already hooked into their service. Its the same pattern used for cable providers and even cell phone mobile service. It sucks but seems to be common practice.

There is no reward for product loyalty.

Yeah, my experience with XBLR so far has been pretty weak. Still waiting for my "points" to be deposited. LAME

It's a pretty awful service. At least Gamestop and Club Nintendo reward gamers with some pretty neat stuff.

No excuses, Microsoft could do a lot more for it's customers. Instead we are presented with a broken rewards program.

Yeah this rewards program sucks hard. If I had those 100 extra points, I would have been able to get Sonic Adventure for half off :/ I guess I'll just have to buy 800 points anyway >:/ Btw, I also have a PS3. I honestly love the hell out of it a lot more since Sony's exclusives and rewards programs is a lot better and so is PSN+. But I'm severely depressed about this whole credit thing with the hackers. Well not depressed, but it's bothering the hell out of me.

Those are awful ideas

Showing you have a lot of games? Well that's completely useless

The rewards are a nice touch, you get them every month for surveys or adding time to your Live account or money back from purchases made in a certain month. There's a bunch of ways to get them now.

No company is going to regularly give away items for free because that's an awful business strategy.

That being said Microsoft does have free games for it's users and adds new ones about every year now.

Sony rewards program gives away a ton of things. I got free PSN games, a psn shirt, points, and a few nice swag items. Yes, your gamerscore reflects how much time and money you invest into your console. It's a perfect way to reflect how much you get in return. Of course, there's also people who don't care about gamerscore and do multiplayer only, but this should just be one way to earn items.

I got free PSN gamesDmg051793

Nope, that never happened

It's funny how many people are confused about that

You're allowed to play them while you're a member and the second you're not you don't have access to them anymore

So no, you did not get free games

That's still practically free. Sure I have to keep my subscription going, but it's not like I use PSN just to get the free games. It's for everything else, so -access- to a game anyone else would have to pay for is practically free.

Only Nintendo has points where 100 points equals 1 dollar. Microsoft's points go by 80 points for each dollar. So you have 4.75 worth of points.
