If you don't care about the other instruments and just want the game to play the guitar part, is it worth it to just buy the game and use the old guitar? Is the game a good enough upgrade and good enough setlist to get, or should I just stick with GH3?

I personally have the full band bundle, but ive been playing a lot of guitar only and im loving it. look up the setlist and decide for yourself. If you like the setlist, the game is a ton of fun. Though I might suggest getting the guitar bundle, because the new guitar is awesome.

I got to play the game for a couple of hours after my friend purchased the game on Sunday. From the songs that we unlocked on the game, I thought they were damn good, especially the setlist with all Tool songs. I dont know if you own Rock Band 2 or not, but there about 10-15 songs from Rock Band 2 on this, but they are set up entirely different as far as the notes are concerned. This game has a killer setup for guitar and bass which is sweet with the new guitar. I may buy the guitar kit to get the new guitar because it has a touch button setup for solos... It is pretty sweet

I'm pretty curious about this as well. And I was wondering when the demo is coming. Anyone?

The game by itself is the normal $60. I am wondering about the demo as well. Thanks for the input, it has been helpful.

I'm about 60% of the way through the guitar career and so far it's ok. I've jumped around quite a bit to get at songs I want to play, but there's is a lot of bad music that should be in the bonus tour, but instead you HAVE to play it because of the way they've restructured the career. I'm starting to get annoyed at the number of foreign songs that i HAVE to play to get to the good stuff. IMO you get more for your money with Rock Band 2.

If you're not interested in the full band aspect, World Tour has a good enough solo guitar tour to warrant a buy. If you're happy with the controller you already have, you might just want to get the game alone; the touchpad on the guitar neck is cool, but it's not necessary to play the game. The setlist is good and most of the songs have a good, entertaining guitar part (I've always found the Rock Band guitar parts too easy).
