Hey everyone, I'm planning on purchasing a Xbox360 very soon, And I'm really curious to know if an Ipod has any connectivity features whatsoever on the 360. If there is any please tell me! Thanks.Chaeffer
I am probably going to get called a liar or what now, but since the dashboard update from the spring, I have been unable to play my iPod on my 360 elite. Now I was playing it before with no problems on my Premium. I had upgraded from the Premuim to Elite a couple of days after the update and I have downloaded the needed patch to get it to work. it recognizes my ipod but will not allow play, due to codec. So it will not work. The guy that says you can not play songs from itunes it is true, the 360 does not recognize it. But it does not play the others as well.
Hmm... Well, The biggest thing I was planning to do with it (what I was hoping for) is having the ability to import my Ipods songs into the xboxs harddrive so that I could use my own music when playing games. Does this work? I've imported my music from other sources none from Itunes store.
Thanks for all the responses so far by the way!

You will not be able to save songs from your ipod, I believe you have to do it from disc, or thumb drive. But a way you stream music, is from your pc. you can do that. It will not come up on the 360 if you music files are coded AAC ( if you have an ipod I am sure your music is in AAC format.) The best way is to hook up the ipod, but that is not working now. There suposibly working on the issue, but I am sure there doing this so that it might convince people to buy a zune instead of ipod.

i have somewhat of the same problem. Before the update i plugged in my ipod and i was good to go. Now, it takes 2-3 for it to scan the ipod then display the songs....it still works but it's annoying because everytime i was to change a song/cd, it has to do this.

no you can't put the songs from your ipod to your hard drive unless you rip and cd and then burn it to the hdd. hope that helps.

No matter what kind of mp3 player you use you can only play music off them, you can't transfer it to the 360's hard drive.
