Do you have to use the composite with the HDMI cable or can you use the HDMI cable alone? How about VGA do you need to use VGA with HDMI cable or can you use HDMI cable alone? PLEASE HELP...so is the HDMI cable something like support or just standalone like Composite or Vga?

The hdmi cable is the very best connection you can have. It's full Hd supporting up to 1080p and 7.1 surround sound. I believe what your asking is does it carry audio and picture. Yes is the answer. You only need a single Hdmi cable for your 360 is you have a hdmi input in a tv or moniter. You dont need the componet or compiste wires for audio or any video. However vga is used for some instences if your using a moniter to hdmi such as a computer screen or some tvs, then you will need a seperate audio source for this hence the left and right white and red audio wires. But if you have a HD tv with a tv you will only need a single hdmi cable. And to save you even more don't go and buy a $100 or more hdmi cable, go to monoprice.com, newegg.com or even amazon.com and search for a good quality hdmi cable there. They do the same thing as these big expensive cables and are going for $6 bucks or so. Hope all this helped.
