I think the Itunes music has to be played off the Ipod, but theres a tool you can download and install on the xbox Live marketplace. Riping is where you take a legally owned CD and basically puts the music onto your Xbox 360 hard drive.xelloss88can you rip by burning itunes songs and putting it on the xbox?
Apple' Digitally Rights Managed(DRM) songs bought from Itunes Will absolutely NOT play on the MIcrosoft Xbox 360. Most everything else will play right off the Ipod. Just go to Media on the dashboard, and music, and let it find your ipod. you can then play playlists or albums or artists or whatnot. By using th eGuide button you can control the music mid-game, and even play it over the game soundtrack.
Ripping, is when you take a CD, or nowadays and MP3 player and take (or rip, hence the term) the music files off of it, usually to a certain usuable format, onto your PC or in this case console harddrive. Whilst the Xbox is more or less as good at ripping Cd's asWindows Media Player is, it will not rip songs directly off your Ipod*. To do that, you'd have to use the Ipod as a USB drive, and just file transfer them, but it will fill up your xbox, AND your ipod. Better to just play off it.
*Also not sure if the Xbox will look up CD information or not, so you may have to manually input information.
No you cannot transfer songs from an Ipod to a X360. But you can plug it in to your 360 and listen to music that way. Also ripping is when you take music or data on a CD and transfer it to your hard drive. This way you do not have to have the CD everytime you want to listen to music.FearNinjathe songs i got from actual cd's i put into my drive and downloaded on my ipod i can listen to when i plug it in to my xbox live but i ca'n't listen to songs i bought from itunes store
