I'm going to provide this link to properly ask my question and give you guys a visual.

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/viewer.aspx?productId=993&assetTypeId=1&shotId=0

Ok do you guys see the 3 primary colors from which you connect your 360 to your tv? Alright well what is that wire that doesn't have a color assigned to it. It's just gray and has the metal tip at the end?

Now I'm taking a wild guess and saying that particular cord, connects to the back of the Elite. Am I right?

Cause I only have 3 holes on my tv for the av cables, and one hole for the headphones. So it can't be another connection for my television set.

I know the Elite can be played on a regular SDTV but I'm just checking to confirm that.

That's strange. Not an HDMI, doesn't look like an S-vid....so what is it? I can't see why it would ever need to plug into the elite though, thats what the other end is for. They put it with the peripheral connections for a reason....but what that reason is...I can't discern. Almost just looks like a chord for TV cable.

For those of you with the Elite does the metal tipped wire need to be connected?

Or will it still work with just the Yellow, White, and Red chords connected to my tv.

Ok the Elite comes with HDMI, Component Cables, and S-Video cables.

Now upon looking at the component cables correct me if I'm wrong, but all those colors don't need to be connected right?

I mean all I need for my SDTV is the regular yellow, white, and red then I can play correct?

This is giving me a headache since I'm trying to sort this out.

This might sound wierd but that looks like somthing that you plug your wired controllers into... but that would make no sence... its probably a s video cable just at a weird angle

Wait I think probably just solved this mystery question I'm having.

Connect to a Standard TV

To connect your console to your standard TV:

Turn off your console.Connect the AV connector on the HD AV cable to the AV port on your console.Set the switch on the AV port connector to TV (as shown).Connect the yellow color-banded composite signal connector on the HD AV cable to the yellow input on your TV. Leave the red, green, and blue color-banded connectors unconnected.

Connect the solid color left and right (white and red) audio connectors on the HD AV cable to the audio inputs on your TV.

Ok so basic setup of yellow, white, and red on the tv.

Alright so it's the component cables that are my main focus. Meaning that the other cables will just be left hanging.

Guys for those of you that have read this and for future readers, I apologize if I stressed you out. I am a noob at the 360 since I don't own one. And I'm just trying to learn as much as I can about it.
