So, is it natural for lefties to be at a disadvantage when playing games?(joysticks, Controllers, etc)Or doyou adapt yourself to it?Or do you have to play some weird way?
That question always ran through my head at times....

Gosh sorry, I'm not a lefty so I wouldn't know. Well maybe it's differnt because depending if you're a lefty and righty, maybe you have more conscious, strength, dexterity, on your dominant hand.i dont understand????????????? everyone that holds a gamepad MUST use both hands equally in order to be able to play. regardless if your a lefty or a righty, you have to use both joysticks, and use the triggers. (btw im a lefty and have no problem)

im definitely not trying to be mean (sorry bout it). im just thinking of how it can be different? but i see no other way, we use both hands for gaming. so they have to be equally good

I am a left, and even though you use BOTH joysticks with BOTH hands. You aim with the right joystick, using your right thumb. Speaking of halo anyway. I feel I would be more accurate using the left joystick to aim, and halo even lets you switch it up this way. However I have already gotten used to using the right joystick to aim for so long, it would feel like trying to write with my right hand! Same situation with mouse...i dont understand????????????? everyone that holds a gamepad MUST use both hands equally in order to be able to play. regardless if your a lefty or a righty, you have to use both joysticks, and use the triggers. Yea i agree.
Most games use the right thumbstick to look/aim which takes more dexterity than movement which is on the left thumbstick. Most left handers have fairly good dexterity in their right side, and will only use their left when convenient.
Personally I have trouble w/ having the main trigger on the right side since I have a hard time keeping my thumb steady when I pull the trigger.
There are a few lefties that have a problem but they tend to stay away from shooters. I have a friend who has very bad dexterity in his right thumb, and he just doesn't like console shooters. I've told him to go southpaw, and he likes them better but he's still skeptical.
A buddy of mine was playing with some dude who didn't have a left hand and used his left foot to control movement with the left stick, sitting in a sofa chair with his left leg up and the controller on the edge of the seat. Pretty crazy, he said the guys wasn't half bad either.
im a lefty... i guess its just natural the way i hold the control, meaning i just adapt to it "naturally."
i dont feel odd, holding it.
Well im a lefty and it can be hard. we do have a disadvantage, like we dont have a fast enough trigger finger ( you shoot with the right tigger thats why). i got accustomed to playing guitar hero righty. Now i need to learn how to play lefty lol.
I'm a lefty too. I don't really think I've ever had issues getting used to the way controllers are. When you start using a controller everyone learns their own way of getting used to it as nothing is completely comfortable until you've used it for a while and figure out how it best works. I'm still trying to figure out if I want to get a first person game because I find myself very clumsy trying to operate these games, but I don't think it is because I'm left handed, I think it has more to do with learning the new style.
If we lefties do have any disadvantage to righties we would most likely just adapt to it after a while. There are alot of things that can feel awkward when you are left handed, but eventually you get used to. On the plus side, it is pretty easy to be ambidextrous.
But to answer your question, I really don't have any issues using controllers. After gaming for so long you don't even notice what fingers are doing what half the time!
