Questions about 360s and The August Update

at some point i will get a 360 and i have read that people's 360s have crashed after the August update, but they are models made in 2005-2006, my question is this, are the current Premium models made this year or what

Yes, the new premiums are made this year most likey(I wouldnt see why they wouldnt be made this year) and the fact that some ppls systems crashed or got the RRoD is purely coincidental. There is no way an update can make your system crash. It is just like some ppl will buy a game and then put it in the drive and their system will get the RRoD and then some ppl will make a topic or say that a certain game "killed" or gave their system the RRoD. It's all just purely coincidental.penalsiren

oh ok that makes sense, just by the sounds of it they have had their systems for quite some time and they crash, although i do find it a little dumb that a system has to be replaced
