You tell me if the 4G model is good enough for my scenario:

I'm tempted to buy a temporary 360. However I do not plan to use it at full potential. I only plan to store saved files, patches, and maybe a few arcade games if I see somethingof interest (I already have acouple in mind). I also won't be doing online gaming. At this point, would the 4G model suffice? How much space would the previously mentioned things take up?

Hmm, tough question. I would have said that it would be perfectly fine if you didn't plan on downloading some XBLA games, as they can take up their fair bit of space sometimes. Also, don't quote me on this as I can't remember, but I am sure I remember reading that you can transfer all of your save files to a memory stick. Wait, what am I thinking? there is cloud storage now too lol :P. You should be fine though, just so long as you don't arcade games. That's my view on it anywho :).

Cloud Storage isn't all that much. It's 511 mb.

You can't play original Xbox games on the 4GB since they require a hard drive, you could just run XBLA games off a USB drive if you should need more memory. I say do it. It sounds like it fits your needs.

Sounds like it should be ok. As long as you just stay under the 4GB limit. you could also use UBS thumbdrives up to 32GB (2X 16GB) any brand should work.
