the real xbox360 gamers have HDD , if they are not a real gamers why do they care about buying HDD then? , because you know everything in xbox360 uses HDD , game updates , map packs , arcade games , i cant imagine there anyone who didnt download a demo yet or didnt download a trial of arcade game .

i did buy the core sadly, i regret it lol, at the time i thought that i wasnt gonna need the hd but i soon found out how quick a little memory card can fill up, i ended up buying the hd and have since upgraded to an elite
m$ in  there usual rip off fasion made the hd's damn expensive, the 20 gb is like $120 and the 120 gb is around 200 i think, but dont quote me thats just what i can remember
I was going to buy the Core system with like 2 games, but instead i bought a Premium system with 1 game. Either way i still had enough to buy a HDD. I think everyone is going to buy a HDD.
I had a friend who bought a 360 with me on launch... he bought a memory card with the core system. He had an HDD a week later... should I say more? lol

Crackdown only requires the HDD for co-op, FFXI requires like half the standard HDD to play at all. I think it's pretty ridiculous to hold back developers who have legitimate reasons for needing to require a HDD. Microsoft's biggest mistake (behing the overheating issue) is going backwards and not including a HDD in all 360's. I think developers should be able to use the HDD for data caching when needed (maybe a 1GB limit) and MS should offer a rebate to core owners who buy a HDD or drop the price a large amount. The current price points of them ($100 for 20GB and $180 for 120GB) are ridiculous compared to the portable HDD's for PC's.
Yeah! i also have not seen a 360 without HDD. A 360 without HDD is of not much use I think because later on you are gonna pay the price by buying other accesories and not to mention one cant even download demo games, No XBLA, no patches and other tons of things would be also be out of reach.

and i add to that , they should make some variety to hard drives like 40GB and 80GB because it sux that you only can buy the worst hard drive 20GB for cheap or best for 200$ 120GB wtf? thats very lame.

Yes but that will be in next gen till now no console allows you to completly install the game like PC, PS3 has mandatory install that is all the data is not installed but yeah such a thing would be pusing the graphics more better due to high data transfer rate. But lets see HDD is easily swappable but if MS could o something abt saves and HDD price this would be great Falsh HDD have very high Data transfer rates.

i think it really stupid to sell something that dont even let you download maps or something on it 500mb is gonna get you nothing besides game saves

No its isnt the end of the world upgradation is a quite real thing and its good that we have a option its a little costly but if they get the price low it would be better. Options are always better it adds adictivness.
Elite Owner here, i couldnt imagine going with out the HDD> i got the 120 as was packaged with the elite, and i find myself hitting 90% full frequently. always trying demos and acrade games.
The HDD is not a luxury anymore, is a requirement of gaming.

Yeah but it would be better to get our game install but that might let to a new era of piracy (Remember on PS2 only connection with HDD made a the HDD hack) I think so thats on hold.
