Either way should be pretty good. My brother and some others who have it like the play and charge kit. Mine was defective and wouldn't really charge, though. Even if the indicator said it was fully charged, it would only take a few minutes before I got the "reconnect controller" message. For awhile I thought it might have been the battery pack, but that holds a charge just fine now.

Anyway, I replaced mine with the quick charge kit. It's handy with two battery packs. I can charge one up while using the other one.

Quick charge. You don't have to have the 360 turned on to charge and whats the point of having a wireless controller if your going to have to have a wire going to the box to charge it?

I use the quick charge and have two batteries to swap out. So far, so great. There are a few times I wish I had the play & charge controller, particularly while just waiting around in Dead Rising. My power saving function would turn my wireless controller off and I'd have to babysit it every fifteen minutes to make sure it wouldn't "disconnect."

I like the Play and Charge kit. That way, if both of my batteries are dead, I can still play, I just have to be wired. Also, you don't need to have your Xbox on to charge the controller. It will continue to charge after you turn off the console.

Quick Charge I'd say since it can be useful when you still want to play. Just use normal AA rechargable batteries rather than buying that proprietary pack.

I have two wireless controllers and i use the quick charge kit. If my battery dies i'll swap the battery from my second controller. but honestly though i think the quick charge kit is much better than the play and charge kit because the quick charge kit takes what? 3 hours for a full charge? i think that's right i could be wrong with the 3 hours part though.
