im probly gonna get a 360 today or tomrow and i plan on having only one wireless controller. i usually dont play games for more than like 3 hours at a time, so i dont know whether i would be better off with quick charge, play and charge, or just cycling the 4 rechargeable AA's that i have. any suggestions?

I would just use the plug and play, it still recharges when the xbox is off unless i dreamt that. The charger seems pointless IMO

quick charge - charges 1 pattery back in less than 2 hours, 2battery packs in 4 Play and charges - wired, you play while you chrge...it uses the same battery pack as the quick charge so quick charge to stay comepletely wireless, and play n' charge uses a wire. (i use the quick charge)

Use the quick charge and just put your batteries on it overnight.

I don't know I use the play and charge because it's cheaper and I can still play when the battery is dead.

Perfect thread for me to post in because I have both. I vote you should get the quick charge. I bought the play & charge when I got my 360. It works, but having to plug the controller in gets old quick. When the quick charge came out, I bought one of them. So, now I just have to do a quick battery swap when my controller starts to go dead. Granted, this is due to having two batteries, since both recharge things come with one. The quick charge is $10 more, but I find it more convienent.

Yes it does BTW: The red light, does it turn green when it's completely done charging?

Yes. I use the Play & Charge, it saves me a lot of AA batteries. And it charges the controller while you play, you can turn off the 360 and the controller will charge by itself over night if you want. $20 well spent.

The green light doesn't necessarily mean a full charge. If you unplug it just AS it turns green, then it's not going to last as long. Again, over night is your best bet for both chargers.

Quick Charge Kit has 2 big advantages -- no wire, charges faster. But it requires its own plug, which is why I went with Play & Charge. P&C gets the job done and is less than half the price. (You need to buy a second battery with the Quick Charge Kit, meaning the true price is $30 + $11, versus $15 total for the P&C.)

I prefer the Quick Charge Kit. The Quick Charge Kit - you can quickly recharge 2 batteries ready for play. The Play & Charge Kit - the advantage is that you can still play while the battery recharges. The disadvantage is that you are adding a wire to a wireless controller (and for me, this betrays the whole point of having it wireless in the first place).

Play and charge all the way.

1) You can keep playing while it charges

2) The cord is like 20 feet long

3) If you NEED to have it wireless you get an extra battery pack anyways you can swap out

Quick charge is a scam.

How is the Quick Charge a scam???  It works great.  It charges 2 batteries in half the time that it takes the play & charge to charge 1 battery.  In no way is it a scam, maybe you should look that word up before using it.

The Play & Charge Kit doesn't work for me. :( After a while, it'll say the battery is fully charged, but after 30 minutes of playing without the Kit, it's back down to the point where the rumble feature turns off to conserve what little power it has left. :(
