I want to get hold of one becausing plugging in an ethernet is actually impossible for me. But does it really cost around 60 pounds minimum to get one in the UK? because that seems a bit steep..and i'm guessing you can only get the official one.. If someone can just clarify this i appreciate it. Does there tend to be more lag as well on wifi..

it cost $100 new here in the States (well, back when I bought anyway) and as for it having more lag compared to straight connection via cable - its the same. just be sure your router is near by (ie next room as compared to second floor).

yeah thats the thing..my router is downstairs and its practically imposs to get an ethernet connected to my 360, so wifi is the only option. i just hope lag isnt a problem with the 360 being upstairs. but man $100 or 60 GB pounds is insane..can get 2 routers with that

Have you considered a plug-in mains ethernet adapter? You can pick a pair up for around £60 on the web, just plug one in downstairs coneccted to your router and it will relay your connection around the mains power in your house. So you can plug the second one in with your 360, hook it up and your away. I have used them for years and the connection is totally stable and you can acheive up to about 120Mbps (depending on what model you go for) which is more than enought for xbox live/HD Video Streams/Web and file transfers etc...

^ty for the idea. Never heard of something like that before, but that sounds like something worth considering coz wifi may be a bit of a problem for me as well considering my router is downstairs. cheers

Google 'devolo' it's what I have been using for some time. It's probably an ideal solution for what you need.

Would i just need the dLAN Highspeed Starter Kit? Use one HomePlug adapter for the router and then use the other HomePlug adapter to plug into the mains in my room to connect the xbox? Is it that simple.. Thanks again

Yeah, one plugs into the router and the other wherever the 360 is. No extras needed.
