If I put a dvd in my computer downstairs, can I go upstairs to my 360 and watch it via media player?

I doubt it but was just wondering.

well, the 360 does have a dvd player... ya know. but if you wanna put it in your computer, then it means it's not a regular dvd format, so depends what you have on the dvd.

I have never seen this feature in media center, but it might be there. Why not just put the DVD in your 360? You could also rip the DVD to your PC's HDD, then stream it to the 360.

It's a data disc which means you can only play it on the computer.

then do what Limp said and it will work... just take the data files, throw them in a folder and enable sharing with your 360
