I've had a RROD, and now my 360 can't read disk. Is that covered under the 3 year warranty?

Did they give you a referb or your old system and how long have you had it for? If you JUST got it back say it didnt work out of the package and they should,nt make you pay. I just sent mine away and when I get it back there is another year on the warrenty for me thats good for anything. But I had to pay $100 to get it fixed so I dont know if there is a difference.

If you got a referb last time you will get one again this time, so worst case just says its the red rings again and you should not have to pay anything,

Again....no, Its not under the same warranty. I called and I know my box was out of warranty but they fixed it for free. I didnt give myself away and say "aaaheeem excuse me, Im supposed to be payinggggg!!!". I didnt ask questions.

you should fix it yourself i had the same problem a week ago, i looked on youtube and followed the instructions. i just took off the magnet on top of the cd drive case and put it on top of the spindle then i placed the magnet on top of the case again and it has been working ever since. you should not spend money on something so easy to fix yourself. Dont worry about your warranty, all problems can be solved your self with the help of the internet.

I had the same problem happen to mine. I told them that I was getting the "Unplayable Disk" error, sent it in, and got a new one without having to pay a dime.

most people that say they have had my problem have had an error message pop up, but in my case it just says reading for about 4 to 5 seconds and then simply says open tray while still on the dashboard. . . nothing special, but I can't play music cd's, dvd's, or games of any kind. . . I already sent mine in, but I thought I would post, just out of curiousity. . .
