i've heard teh ACOG takes away from range and accuracy. Mr_Wes32i know that, so why use it? do people think they look less like "noobs" or something because theyre using an inferior scope?
it doesn't even have that much recoil in real life from what i've seen.
but i dont even have it yet i just use my friends when i run out of ammo with the R700.Mr_Wes32
The Barrett .50 has the recoil of a12 gauge with the compensator. It may not seem like much but for a scoped rifle is quite a bit. It may not appear to have much recoil btu that is also because it is heavy and target/varmint/sniper rifles have heavy barrells which, among many other things, send recoil back into the the shoulder instead of up an back. This can make it appear to have more recoil. The .308 or 7.62 NATO has more than enough recoil but not nearly as much as the compensated .50.
