It's fantastic with Forza. I honestly haven't played with it much in PGR4 (haven't played PGR4 much despite owning it actually). However, from my only couple of races with it, it feels as though it makes it more difficult to be honest. The wheel isn't designed for sliding and the Kudos system kinda stuff. Perhaps I just need more play time with it, I don't know, but I usually use the controller for PGR4.
However, for sim type racers (Dirt, Forza, etc) the wheel is fantastic. Don't take what I said as a knock against the wheel, I just don't think it works well in an arcadey type racer.
I bought one just before Forza came out, and while it was a blast to use during the time I played Forza, well, now it just kind of collects dust, a regretable purchase no doubt. If you think you'll consistently be playing racing games all the time then it would be worth it, otherwise just leave it be or you'll be stuck with it (and know will take it for trade in either, so you'll really be stuck with it).
