Hi all

So I finally had a chance to play me some Rage and I gotta say that I'm both very impressed and very disappointed.

Seems like a great shooter, but I can't help thinking that ID tried to promote that this was going to be much more free roam and non-linear.

Anyways, I made a full post on my impressions that you can find here:

Rage impressions

How about you guys?

You all finding that the good shooting is enough for you to enjoy Rage or were you also expecting more than "Post apocalyptic Quake"?

Does anyone know about how long the campaign is, and after completing it is there much incentive to go back and play it again? I'm considering getting it, but the multiplayer driving doesn't really appeal to me so I need to know if the single player alone is worth it.

I played on normal and did almost everything possible and it was about 14-15 hours for me. On a harder difficulty it should take more time to beat. For the most part I enjoyed the game. It was nothing too amazing, but fun to play while it lasts. Multiplayer is somewhat boring on both ends, and im not into racing at all.

I've been enjoying the game immensely. Not sure what you were expecting TC, but for me Rage has been a solid purchase.

That's the route I'm taking.

i got to the second disc at 9 hrs...finished the game in 11:30 hrs...and i spent a lot of time goofing around. you may be able to stretch out experience further, but the content is bare.

I got bamboozled, too. I thought this was going to be much more open than it is. For a game that came on 3 discs, It doesn't have very many places to go. I did enjoy myself for the first disc, but moving on to the second began my trip to boredom. I don't want to get into any specifics as any spoiler is still a spoiler, so I'll just say that while I did enjoy it, the repetitive nature of the game has been its undoing. Where is Batman when you need him!?
