So a respected magazine just handed out a 9.5 in their April issue to Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Said that the game has alot of the same basics but revamped the destructible cover and is SWEET online. Offering Coop through the whole campaign and with a GREAT weapon upgrade and customization classes for online. Will it steal COD 4's thunder?
i hope so cod4 is good...but the craze should have died by now cause its fun but not the best game ever like everyone talks.....but im looking forward to rainbow six 2....should be amazing and hopefully dethrone cod4...but wait for the gamespot review and they will give it a 3.5 or something stupid like that
A lot of people will stick to COD4 because they are at a high level and can kill noobs at will. Those types of players won't want to switch to a game where they don't know the maps yet and don't have gear that gives them an advantage.
Vegas 2 seems like it would be a great pick up but right now Im still working on COD 4 so until Im finished with COD 4 I doubt I will pick up Vegas before Christmas.
I'm defintately getting hyped for Vegas 2. I'm running through Vegas 1 right now. Hadn't really played it since last fall's games came out. So I'll be nice and tuned up for the sequel.
I only finished the first Vegas yesterday because i nevergot round to finishing the campaign before i got live and once i got that it was multiplayer all the way til i got bored of it and other games came out but since the hype for Vegas 2 has been growing i remebered i didn't finish the first one so i did that yesterday im going to confirm my preorder later and hopefully the delivery is ok and gets to me on rlease day.
Is R6V one of those games where you will just keep getting picked off by unseen enemys miles away crouched behind walls or can you adopt a run n gun style and still have success?
R6V2 is a great game, currently playing the third mission now. If you enjoyed the first one Vegas 2 is right up your alley. Haven't really tried multiplayer yet since not too many people have the game yet. Definitely a good pick up.
I still dont know if i'm gonna pick this one up. I love COD4 and I never played the first RSV. Like the other guy asked, can you run and gun, are is it really tacticle and team oriented, or somwhere in the middle. I dont really mind what kind as long as it is done well. It kinda bothers me though that they say it has the same engine as the last one, tha tcmae out a couple years ago right?

Not at all, there are different options to choose when eliminating your enemy, whether tactical with your team, or going in solo, from different entry points. You don't get picked off by enemies from far away unless the enemy has a sniper rifle of course. I find Vegas more close quarter combat style in different location eg: casino, garage etc. So the run and gun works, but cover is important as well.

WTH are you talking about? My friends and I are all high levels in COD4 and we're all dying for R6V2 to come out. I'll still be playing cod 4 since there will be new maps out for it soon, but I already pre ordered vegas 2.

Just ignore that stuff... for some reason people always have to take sides.
RSV: 2 is going to be a great game. Anyone into FPS should get this game because it will compete with CoD:4. As far as online, CoD:4 is already so worn out that RSV: 2 will definitily surpass it.

just sold my cod4 because it is too nooby for me personally even though im good at it and everyone on every site acts like it doesnt get repetitive but it does
I think everyone already had an idea that RSV2 was going to score high. I know I'll be playing that a lot more then COD4 when it hits next week. Honestly, I haven't played COD4 for a weeks now. I think the thrill's gone for me now.
