What single player FPS game is really any good any more? Single player just can't compare to playing against real intelligent humans that aren't scripted and can't cheat like AI can (well people can cheat if they find glitches, but not in the same way that AI can be really cheap in some games). Online is where it's at in RS:V. Frankly, if you bought RS:V just for single player, I think you wasted your money. It's the best online console FPS on the market right now. But single player? Meh...even Halo's and Gears of War's single player gets boring fast.ziduraI beg to differ. As long as a game has a good setting, intriguing storyline, compelling characters and good gameplay, singleplayer will ALWAYS be better than multiplayer. Always.
in resistance fall of man, the a.i uses teamwork, strategy, and they dodge your grenade and aim accurately and, hide behind stuff, and time their shots and dodge your shotsddldaveAnd still the game flopped so hard you could feel it all the way to next week. Seriously though, the things you mentioned have been standard fare in many games for the last 5 years.
Game doesn't suck, don't get me wrong. Just could have been better, and Gears of War is much better looking and more cohesive. Enemy AI in R6V is wicked good.logicbombxIt really depends on what you're looking for.
i think its awesome, especially the online... but yeah the spread out checkpoints are to make it harder, but it did get annoying sometimeskyle_tokerYeah its retarded how they always have a big tough battle, then a couple random guys out of nowhere, and then a checkpoint
Just finished Vegas and I gotta say mixed bag. The game is very cheap. People complained about Doom 3's monster closets, well this game has terrorist closets. Save points are extrmely spread out. You'll finish a huge fight and then on your way to the next fight you'll get shot by some cheap terrorist and have to do it all again. Enviroments look great but the enemies and hostages look like PS2 models. Enemy and your team AI is great, too good even, except in certain areas where all of a sudden your team can't shoot anything. (Arcade Room for example) I guess they wanted these parts to be extra hard. Every Car in Vegas is a Dodge.... weird, never knew. And how about adding more than 3 different arcade machines in the arcade room. Wish I could tell the team where to go on the map like in GRAW. Overall this game was pretty fun but kind of frustrating. I did play on the hardest level so maybe it's partly my fault. logicbombxafter playing it i wasnt a big fan so i decided against actually purchasing the game...i gues i was right
i was looking forward to rainbow six vegas for my ps3 but then you said this which sucks, i just gona wait until something else then i guessddldaveDon't make your decision based on the single player, the multiplayer is what makes this game worth $60, you will play for a long time trust me.
I really liked the SP (played it on normal and realistic) - I thought it was one of the better SP experiences I've had for FPS (toss up between this and COD2 on veteran)
