rainbow six vegas series = rentals at best

I considered RSV a huge waste of my $60. I felt I flushed my cash down the toilet after a few days of playing both the SP and MP. I won't even be giving RSV2 a rent. It looks like a quick cash-in off the first games success. No thank you. There are 5 other games I'd rather be playing in March.BioShockOwnz

I loved both the single player and the multipalyer in Rainbow Six, and I can't wait for Rainbow Six 2.

rainbow six vegas is an easier game online than halo 3 or cod4...so why dont u go cry, cos apparently you like doing so

rainbox six vegas just feels like a poor mans cod4..i mean why have margarine when you can have butter.....it just feels cheap, and whored out...thats why i said its only a rental.....i mean common, look at all the AAA games that have been out since vegas 1...halo 3, cod4, bioshock, mass effect, super mario galaxy, metroid prime 3, gears, i can go on...rainboz six is just average...also if gears 2 comes out this year itll own vegas 2....also we have fay cry 2, fallout 3, possibly re5 and sf4, common do you guys actually think vegas has a chance?...my foot it does?....pffff you guys are delusionalIronre5

Actually, I'm pretty dominant at CoD4 and was at Halo3 until I sold it cause it was boring. Rainbow Six Vegas was definitely the greatest challenge of any of them from my experience. And in no way shape or form was I crying... so I believe you should check yourself before you make a comment like that because you're just embarassing yourself.

I respect your opinion, but I could not disagree any more. RSV is my favorite 360 game of all time (hence my profile pic). The multiplayer is extremely varied and deep, and the community is way more mature than Halo3 or even CoD4. You can't go into RSV and treat it like any other shooter or you will get your @$$ handed to you. RS is a thinking man's shooter; it actually requires you to work as a team and move tactically in order to win. That's what I love most about RS, and I am waiting with great anticipation for RSV2.

If you asked me which game I wish I had rented instead of bought, I would have to say Halo 3 for sure. At least RS adds something new and exciting to the multiplayer with each installment instead of reshashing the same formula with brighter lights and bloom.

OK. Here is my opinion on this subject. I think CoD4 took a lot of ideas from Rainbow Six Vegas (ranking system for one). Plus if you think the ranking system in CoD 4 is good wait til' you play the Rainbow Six series. MANY MANY rewards as you level higher and higher. I think CoD 4 is a great game but will definitely be trumped by Rainbow Six Vegas 2. I have no doubt in my mind. I wouldn't be suprised if it turns out to be the one of the best shooters on the 360 this year.

i dont hate R6V..i think its a great game, its just nothing special, its not going to be remembered few years from now, like halo 1, or super mario bros. its just not classic, also maybe if they took out tom clancys name from the game, it wud be a whole lot better, that guy plain sucks....and GRAW sucked too...tom clancy games maybe good, even great, but theyre not classic, and nothing that i would spend 60 bucks on...there are far better games IMO coming out/already out, that deserve my 60 bucks......and unless you guys have tons of cash i dont see how youll can spend 60 bucks to buy a game like this...

i listed Gears, cos it came out around the same time...i listed smg and metroid cos i was just citing how much better those games are in overall value, and amazingness than r6v...and i listed far cry cos its an excellent game, since when do games have to be real, to be great....dont be foolish, so in your opinion halo 1 isnt great, mario zelda metroid gears half life....SF4 = street fighter 4.....the reason i listed bioshock etc, is cos those are games that deserve 60 bucks...and those are the games that i will get over r6v anyday...i didnt add a whole lot of other game slike fable 2, ninja gaiden 2 etc, cos the list is too long....i dont suck at vegas, im not a fanboy, and obviosly from the games listed above you can see that i can recognize a good game when i see it, and NO vegas is no simply too good....its simply too average

RB6 is a AAA game,How is it a poor mans COD4,their not really as alike as you make it sound,RB6 is more of a tactical,close quarters game

Sorry for putting words into your mouth like that. But you are right on one thing, maybe taking out his name (Tom Clancy) might be good for his games. I am, pretty tired of seeing Tom Clancy on everything lol. Although he makes great games. :)

Rainbow is probably the best shooter online. I rate it over the GRAW games.

COD4 is awesome, its a shollow, fast paced, run and gun shooter - and thats why I love it.

However, rainbow has more sticking power as I like the tactical, team work, communication bases gameplay

vegas is good but the single player on realistic was one of the most cheaply frustrating experiences in a game i've ever had. that and the first time i played doa4. overall its pretty good though, i just hope in the second one they fixed the godly enemy artificial intelligience.spencertaylor

I thought it was actually pretty well done. It was rough yes, but it wasn't anything unrealistic. I mean, look at the situations you faced and tell me how easy that would be in real life. I didn't really see anything "cheap" about it.

I don't buy a lot of games, and I'm buying RSV2.

That game is going to last be so long if its anything like the first RSV.

Ironre5, looks like you're vastly outnumbered. Maybe you should just accept the fact that you simply don't like Rainbow Six and stop trying to convince everyone else to think the same thing.

Fact is that Raibow Six Vegas is a tactical shooter, while COD4 is simply a shooter. That means running arond shooting people, and the only thing that really matters is how fast you can react. Rainbow Six encourages a tactical way of thinking, and teamwork in multiplayer is essential, unlike in COD.

Call of Duty 4 is a glorified and quite boring shooter that unfortunately glues everyone to the screen, and I'm sorry for you if you can't see that. I played it for a week straight before I got my head together and realised I wasn't even having fun.

I think that COD4 is a great game also Halo3. I cant stop playing either. There has always been a game that i go back to after awhile and that has always been the rainbow six series...Vegas i feel was one of the best FPS ever created. Now with the 2nd coming just make competitive online game even better..I feel sorry for the TC cause you are unable to enjoy some of the best gaming experience ever created.

If anything there are alot of things to fix in Vegas and it seems as if they are fixing it as well as adding Tons more. COD4 is good but not the greatest. They have yet to fix the shoddy hit detection. And where on earth did friggin Mario and Zelda come into this? Arent we comparing shooters here much less XBOX GAMES? No one here really cares about Nintendo.

RSV6 is a great game but can be frustrating in difficulty. It was to me maybe because this was the first FPS I played but It got me really frustrated and the MP had bad graphics it looked like gta.personal I would rent the next one just cause of the difficulty.
