Rainbow Six Vegas Update?

I just got on RB6V and i discovered i had to download an update, since i really dont have time to test it, I was wondering if this is THE update that would fix all the problems except the Countdown glitch...

Can anyone tell me?

Updates in general are good.

However i dont know since i only got a usb modem.

There are definitely still some problems though.  I had a freeze up again today while playing some team sharpshooter, not to mention more than half of my games being bogged down with lag so much so that I can't take cover or crouch.  And then theres that damn machine gun bug...

It's a great online experience when its running smoothly, but I've sure had lots of problems with R6 online.

The Countdown glitch already got fixed with the first patch.

Does anybody else have problems specifcally with RainbowSix Vegas? I had a freezing issue a while ago, usually during save checkpoints, and sometimes in the middle of the action. Going through some diagnostics, I cleared the HDD cache (x,x,lb,rb,xx) and the last thing to check was if it was a game save file causing the problem. The most recent game to be played was RB6, but I was getting freezes with alot of my games.

When I deleted my RB6 save file (and I was on my 2nd or 3rd hotel too :(  ), cleared the cache one more time for good measure, sure enough the problem went away. All my games played fine, Gears, Oblivion, Crackdown demo, MK.

Then I decided to try playing the RainbowSix campaign again (yes it's updated), hoping the issues were a random glitch the 1st time. But when I play, the game freezes, and now I can't even get through Mexico without this happening.

Does anybody else experience freezes with this game specifically? Or is it just my console? :?AdobeArtist
