Well, if the right developer was willing to pay for the license to make a Rambo game, I think it could be awesome. It'd be a good mix of 3rd person stealth/shooter/platforming. Sneaking through the jungles of Vietnam, Climbing cliffs, crossing rickety old wooden bridges, knifing unsuspecting Vietcong, shootouts, busting out your POW buddies, sniping enemies with explosive Bow tips!!! Wow, the more I think about this, the more I want a game like this!! Listen up Devs, we want a freakin Rambo game!!

Saw the film today (few hours ago) and liked it, but I don't think there should be a game based on it. I agree with PiNwOrM, the film game will just be a cash in.
I think it's out actually, isn't it called Far Cry? Just play that game and everytime some one is about to adress you as Jack Carver just say JOHN RAMBO really really loud over it.
i think it would be awesome tomake a rambo game but not in first person. i would like it better in 3rd person so you can have the sneaking ability of splinter cell and also be able to swing around a m60 and mess some people up. and have like level ups or something or ranks that owuld be cool although rambo isn't apart of military after the first one
It'd make a lot simply because of fan boys... On the other hand, even though somethings been done a million times doesn't mean the game play would be exactly the same. The idea of sneaking around tree to tree snapping peoples necks sounds like fun. Even if it only had novelty value I'd at least rent it.
this is probubly a dead topic now, but i still want to say that a rambo video game could be incredible. i think the best way to make it would be to go throuh every movie including the 4th. the new Bourne Conspiracy game is based on all 3 movies along with the books, so doing the same thing with a rambo game would be great. they could even have flash backs in the game which would take you back to vietnam. the game would deffinatly have to be in a 3rd person perspective to capture the sheer brutality of everything. also having sylvester stallone voice rambo would be perfect.
