Personally, I'm thrilled.  I love Rare shooters, and loved both Perfect Dark games equally.  I understand many people here didn't enjoy the 1st game much though, and I'm wondering how people feel about this announcement.  I for one am pleased.  If you didn't like the game, though, what would it take to make you want to buy the new one?  Different aiming system?  Better Graphics?

I ejoyed PDZ as well, many didn't and is was because it was hyped to much and was not going to live up to the hype or the ideas of how great the original Perfect Dark was.  That said, I think PDZ had an ok SP game and a great MP game.  I am looking forward to a sequel.

I'd buy it. I'm sure any previous criticism will be used for the next PD. Perfect Dark Zero is a great FPS.

I wasn't that impressed with Perfect Dark, and Perfect Dark Zero was even less impressive.

The original Perfect Dark for the N64 was like my second or 3rd favorite shooter behind say Unreal Tournament 2k4 and maybe... umm... Gears of War? Perfect Dark Zero did deserve the 9.0 it got, at first I didn't think so, but having played it on an HDTV and at a higher difficulty level, it does a very nice job. And the deathmatch modes are actually fun, even against bots... except hiding spaces for camping are harder to find.

Regardless, I'm glad to hear that, I just hope it doesn't take forever, remember, the original Perfect Dark Zero was originally slated for the first Xbox...

I agree that the game is better on higher difficulties.  It's not run and gun most of the time.  I think people didn't try and go stealthy enough... if you go through with the stealth pistol and take out gaurds without raising the alarms, it's a lot more fun.  And I love the combat roll... I wish other shooters had it as a standard.

You know what I'd like to see?  A next gen remake of the classic N64 game!

They should just remake the N-64 version for the 360.

I've only just picked up PDZ, and I'm currently loving the Single Player, so I'll happily try any new Perfect Dark games. Hopefully this is confirmed by Rare somewhere!

Yeah, i enjouyed PDZ aswell, if they can learn from some of there mistakes, e.g some animations, and story and voice acting, it could become an awesome game!

The original N64 Perfect Dark is one of the best FPS ever made. It was a better, more polished game than Goldeneye was by far. The single player was atmospheric and awesome, and I still think the multiplayer component of that game is the deepest and most awesome FPS mutliplayer ever on a console. So many options, weapon sets, character selections...just so sweet. I'd love to see a remake of the original.

I couldn't agree more.

PDZ was crap compared to PD.
